Savannah Chrisley: Savannah Chrisley is already a married woman.
Marriage records show she wed Jason Galanis months before sharing the news. The couple announced their engagement only this week.
People obtained the records. They show the 29-year-old reality star married the 56-year-old businessman on Tuesday, July 14.
The ceremony took place at Cayman Islands Baptist Church. It came two days before Galanis turned 56. The couple had been dating for about a year.
Chrisley did not mention the wedding in her announcement. She said she was pregnant and engaged.
She shared details on her "Unlocked" podcast. She said Galanis proposed with a large oval-cut diamond ring.
The proposal happened during a vacation in the Cayman Islands.
She kept his full name private at first. She called him "J" in her announcement.
On her podcast, she used only "Jason." Us Weekly later identified him as Jason Galanis.
Galanis has a criminal past. He was sentenced in 2020 to more than 15 years in prison.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York said he took part in two multimillion-dollar fraud schemes.
Prosecutors accused him of defrauding investors in one of them. The victims included the Oglala Sioux tribe. They lost tens of millions of dollars.
His story has other high-profile ties. Galanis is a former associate of Hunter Biden.
He testified from prison during the 2024 Republican impeachment inquiry into then-President Joe Biden.
A year later, President Donald Trump commuted his sentence. No reason was given.
Galanis also shares a connection with the Chrisley family. He served time in the same prison as Savannah's father, Todd Chrisley.
Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, addressed the news on Thursday, Oct. 29.
They appeared on Bunnie Xo's "Dumb Blonde" podcast. Todd admitted he struggled to accept the relationship at first.
He pointed to the age gap. "He's 20 years older, and it was not something I embraced," Todd said, according to People.
He said he faced a hard choice. He could accept his daughter's decision or risk losing her. He chose his daughter.
"I love Savannah with my heart and soul, but did I advocate for this? No," he said. He added that Galanis has treated her with great respect.
Todd is one year older than Galanis. He joked about what lies ahead. Savannah may have only 20 years with him, he said. Todd said he would be in assisted living by then.
Galanis later asked Todd for his blessing. Todd recalled giving him a warning. Galanis might be the only love Savannah ever called his own, Todd told him.
But he would not be her only love. According to Todd, Galanis answered that it was his job to make sure she never forgot him.
Savannah has addressed the age gap herself. She told her father she would take 20 years of everything. She said that beats 50 years of nothing.
Not everyone is convinced. Galanis' estranged brother, Derek Galanis, spoke to Page Six.
He called the marriage his brother's biggest con yet. He said Savannah is "in for a rocky ride." He also claimed Jason is "not a changed man."
Derek made one more point. His brother is only a year younger than Savannah's father. He said Trump pardoned both men. He called the situation "wild."
