According to a report from Matthew Belloni of puck news, series star Tom Hardy has reportedly been removed from the show's planned third season.

The report alleges that the decision was linked to certain behavior issues that occurred during the production of Season 2.

No official confirmation regarding a third season or Hardy’s reported departure has been announced by the show's producers at this time. Further details about the situation have not yet been publicly disclosed.

New details have emerged regarding reported behind-the-scenes tensions surrounding MobLand as production on the show's second season has officially concluded.

According to the report, series star Tom Hardy allegedly clashed with producers over several on-set issues.

The claims include repeated late arrivals to filming, as well as frequent script suggestions and unscripted dialogue revisions.

The report also alleges that Hardy was unhappy with his role as part of the show's ensemble cast structure.

In addition, producer Jez Butterworth reportedly considered leaving the project before Hardy's reported removal from the series.

Despite the reported disputes, production on Season 2 has been completed.

In MobLand, Hardy portrays Harry Da Souza, a fixer working for the Harrigan family, a London-based crime syndicate with Irish roots.

The first season followed the escalating conflict between the Harrigans and their rivals, the Stevensons.

The feud ultimately culminated in significant violence and multiple casualties, setting the stage for the story's next chapter.

Season 2 of MobLand is expected to bring back much of the series' principal cast as the crime drama continues its story.

Tom Hardy is anticipated to return as Harry Da Souza, the fixer at the center of the Harrigan family's operations.

The returning ensemble is also expected to include Pierce Brosnan as Conrad Harrigan and Helen Mirren as Maeve Harrigan.

Other cast members slated to reprise their roles include Paddy Considine as Kevin Harrigan, Anson Boon as Eddie Harrigan, Mandeep Dhillon as Seraphina, Joanne Froggatt as Jan, and Jasmine Jobson as Zosia.

Lara Pulver is expected to return as Bella Harrigan, Kevin's wife. Janet McTeer is also set to reprise her role as Kat McAllister.

Alex Fine is expected back as Donnie, while Jordi Mollà returns as Jaime Lopez and Toby Jones reprises his role as Colin Tattersall.

The upcoming season is also expected to introduce new characters.

Actors Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond have joined the cast and are set to portray previously unseen roles in the expanding crime saga.

Tom Hardy previously hinted that MobLand Season 2 would expand beyond the localized conflicts featured in the show's debut season.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Hardy said the upcoming season would place a greater emphasis on the international reach of organized crime.

He noted that the story would explore criminal networks connected to the movement of drugs, weapons, ammunition, human trafficking, and other illicit operations spanning multiple regions.

According to Hardy, the narrative will examine how criminal organizations operate across Europe and maintain connections with networks in Africa, South America, and Pakistan.

He suggested that these transnational relationships would play a larger role in shaping the series' evolving storyline.

The actor's comments point to an expanded focus on characters such as Kat McAllister and Jaime Lopez, as well as figures connected to the failed meeting involving Bella and her father during the first season.

Hardy also indicated that Season 2 would delve deeper into the power struggles between crime families operating across different European countries.

The new episodes are expected to explore how these groups compete for influence, control key trafficking routes, and navigate the broader criminal landscape on an international scale.

The expanded scope signals a shift toward a more global narrative as MobLand continues to build on the conflicts and alliances established in its first season.
