Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis: Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis have been together far longer than fans realized.
That's according to Curtis himself, who shared new details about their timeline during an Aug. 31 appearance on "The Jamie Kern Lima Show."
Curtis Confirms Relationship Timeline
Curtis, a 50-year-old hypnotherapist and author, said he and Aniston have now been a couple for "a year and a half."
That timeline stretches well beyond the summer 2025 vacation photos that first tipped off the public to their romance.
Curtis described the relationship in glowing terms. "It's going really well," he said, according to PEOPLE.
He called the 57-year-old actress grounded, open, caring and kind. He also said he feels fortunate to have been welcomed into her tight-knit circle of friends.
Neither Curtis nor Aniston has confirmed an exact start date for their relationship. Curtis has offered varying timelines in past interviews.
How the Couple Handles Disagreements
Host Jamie Kern Lima asked Curtis whether he and Aniston lean on a four-part prayer during conflicts: "I'm sorry. I'm listening. Thank you. I love you."
Curtis confirmed they've used it. But he said it's not their typical starting point.
"We do a lot of meditation. We do a lot of talk," Curtis said, according to Just Jared.
He added that acceptance and understanding also play a role before things escalate to more structured tools.
Curtis said different phases of a relationship call for different approaches.
He joked that at this stage, they don't need "big sledgehammers."
A Timeline That Keeps Shifting
This isn't the first time Curtis has discussed how the relationship began. During a January appearance on "Today," he offered a vaguer account.
He said mutual friends introduced them. From there, the two started talking and slowly grew close. "It took a long time," he said of that transition.
At the time, Curtis estimated they had been together for "months," nearing the one-year mark.
By May, reports indicated the couple had just celebrated their first anniversary. His latest comments push that timeline back even further, to a year and a half.
Public attention around the relationship intensified after a July 2025 trip to Mallorca.
Aniston and Curtis were photographed there alongside friends Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka.
Aniston later confirmed the relationship outright. On Nov. 2, she posted a black-and-white photo embracing Curtis in honor of his 50th birthday, captioning it "my love."
Aniston's Inner Circle Embraces Curtis
Curtis also opened up about Aniston's longtime friend group, calling it a "beautiful community."
He said he feels "incredibly blessed" to be part of it. He credited the group's closeness to their grounded, kind nature.
Aniston's social media reflects that shift. Her July photo carousel featured Curtis alongside friends including Bateman, Anka, Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup.
The post also included more casual snapshots of Curtis in her day-to-day life.
What's Next for the Couple
The relationship is about to step into a new public setting. Aniston will interview Curtis at New York's 92nd Street Y on Sept. 2.
The event centers on Curtis's upcoming book, "The Book of Possibility." A guided meditation led by Curtis is also on the program.
