Lauren Bennett: Lauren Bennett has died at the age of 37.

Pop singer Lauren Bennett of G.R.L. and Paradiso Girls, who appeared on the hit song Party Rock Anthem.

The English singer rose to fame as a member of Paradiso Girls and G.R.L. She also lent her voice to LMFAO's 2011 chart-topping hit "Party Rock Anthem."

Her former G.R.L. bandmates confirmed the news on Instagram.

Natasha Slayton, Emmalyn Estrada and Paula van Oppen issued a joint statement.

"Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us," the trio wrote.

They described Bennett's spirit as one that touched countless lives. A cause of death has not been disclosed.

Bennett's music career began with Paradiso Girls, a group assembled by Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin.

The five-member act broke through in 2009 with "Patron Tequila," a single featuring Eve and Lil Jon.

The track climbed to No. 3 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. Interscope Records dropped the group a year later, and Paradiso Girls disbanded.

Bennett soon joined G.R.L., another Antin project. The group appeared on Pitbull's 2014 single "Wild Wild Love" and released a self-titled debut EP that same year.

The EP included "Ugly Heart," which reached the top 20 in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.

Born in Meopham, Kent, England, Bennett got her start competing in local talent shows.

At age 14, she formed a singing duo with a friend and performed in pubs and bars.

She later auditioned for "The X Factor" and advanced to the final 12 before being eliminated.

That appearance caught the attention of an "X Factor" contact, who arranged for her to audition for Paradiso Girls in front of Jimmy Iovine and Antin.

She landed the spot and relocated to Los Angeles at 17. Paradiso Girls released "Patron Tequila" in 2009, followed by "Who's My Bitch."

After Interscope cut the group, Antin recruited Bennett for a new lineup meant to fill vacancies in the Pussycat Dolls.

That project ultimately became G.R.L., debuting with "Vacation" on "The Smurfs 2" soundtrack.

The group later appeared on Pitbull's "Wild Wild Love" and released "Ugly Heart," its most successful single, alongside a self-titled EP.

G.R.L. disbanded in 2014 following the death of member Simone Battle.

Bennett helped reform the group as a trio in 2016, and the act continued touring in the years that followed.

In 2021, G.R.L. confirmed plans to release new music.
