Gunner Olszewski: The New York Giants may be facing another injury concern during organized team activities.
Wide receiver Gunner Olszewski appeared to suffer an injury during Friday’s OTA practice, according to multiple reporters who were present at the session.
Reports indicated that Olszewski went down during a drill after a non-contact incident. Practice was briefly halted as medical staff attended to him on the field.
Following the evaluation, Olszewski was taken off the field on a cart for further medical assessment.
The Giants have not released any official update regarding the nature or severity of the injury.
The incident comes after the team recently lost defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris, who suffered a torn Achilles earlier this month.
Gunner Olszewski has been a member of the New York Giants for the past three seasons and returned to the team on a new contract during the offseason.
The veteran wide receiver contributed 10 receptions for 145 yards and one touchdown during the 2025 campaign.
Olszewski also served as the Giants’ primary punt returner when available, providing a key role on special teams.
Any extended absence could create a significant gap in the team’s return game responsibilities.
The Giants are expected to evaluate alternative options if the injury proves to be serious.
However, decisions regarding his role and potential replacements are likely to remain on hold until the team receives a complete medical diagnosis.
