After a closely contested first half, Barcelona took control after the break through a clinical display led by Ewa Pajor.

The striker scored twice within a 15-minute span to put the Spanish side firmly in command and leave Lyon struggling to respond.

Barcelona continued to press forward late in the match as Salma Paralluelo added two more goals to seal the emphatic win.

She struck with an excellent finish in the 90th minute before finding the net again in stoppage time, calmly beating Lyon goalkeeper Christiane Endler.

The defeat marked a disappointing end for Lyon, the competition’s most successful club with eight Women’s Champions League titles.

Barcelona, meanwhile, produced a dominant second-half performance to secure another European crown and further strengthen its position among the elite teams in women’s football.

Lyon appeared to take an early lead when Lindsey Heaps found the net in the 14th minute after goalkeeper Cata Coll parried a header from Wendie Renard.

However, the goal was ruled out following a VAR review.

Officials determined that Heaps had been offside during the attacking sequence, leaving the match scoreless.

Barcelona eventually broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the second half through Ewa Pajor.

The striker latched onto a precise pass from Patri Guijarro and finished from a tight angle to beat goalkeeper Christiane Endler.

The goal marked Pajor’s 10th strike of the UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign.

She added her second goal in the 69th minute, giving Barcelona a firm grip on the contest and paving the way for a dominant victory.

Barcelona extended its advantage after capitalizing on a sequence that initially appeared to have broken down.

The opportunity seemed lost when Claudia Pina failed to hit the target from an Esmee Brugts cross.

However, Salma Paralluelo kept the move alive by preventing the ball from going out of play and delivering a pass back into the danger area.

Ewa Pajor reacted quickly and fired home to score Barcelona’s second goal of the match.

As Lyon committed more players forward in search of a comeback, Barcelona exploited the spaces left behind and added two late goals.

Paralluelo produced a moment of quality with a powerful left-footed strike from the edge of the penalty area.

Her rising effort found the net and further increased Barcelona’s lead. The forward then completed her brace in the closing moments.

Pajor turned provider on the play, squaring the ball across goal for Paralluelo to finish and cap an emphatic performance from the Spanish side.
