Brendan Sorsby Texas Tech: Former Cincinnati quarterback Brendan Sorsby is preparing to visit two major programs as his transfer recruitment intensifies.
Sources told ESPN that Sorsby has official visits scheduled with Texas Tech and LSU. He is expected to arrive in Lubbock on Friday for meetings with the Red Raiders.
Following that stop, Sorsby plans to travel to Baton Rouge to visit LSU. The quarterback is widely viewed as the most sought-after player currently available in the NCAA transfer portal.
He ranks No. 1 in ESPN analyst Max Olson’s transfer portal evaluations. Both Texas Tech and LSU are actively pursuing a quarterback as they address key roster needs for the upcoming season.
The NCAA transfer portal opened Friday with more than 4,000 Division I football players seeking new programs.
Among that group, Brendan Sorsby has emerged as one of the most prominent names available.
The former Cincinnati quarterback had a productive season. He threw for approximately 2,800 yards.
