Former VP Kamala Harris, saying she is 'not done' and 'possibly' eying a Kamala Harris 2028 presidential run in a BBC interview.

Her comments offered the clearest sign yet that she may launch another campaign in 2028. Harris, who was defeated by Donald Trump in the 2024 election, made the remarks during a conversation with BBC journalist Laura Kuenssberg, set to air on Sunday.

“I am not done,” former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris said in a recent interview, emphasizing her continued commitment to public service. “I have lived my entire career as a life of service, and it’s in my bones,” she added.

Reflecting on the possibility of another presidential run, Harris told the BBC she is confident that her grandnieces will “in their lifetime, for sure” witness a woman become president of the United States.

When asked if she could be the woman to eventually lead the nation, former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris responded, “Possibly,” suggesting she is still considering her next political move.

She explained that while no decision has been made, she continues to see herself as an active voice in American politics.

Addressing polls that rank her behind other Democratic hopefuls, Harris said she gives little weight to such numbers.

“If I had listened to polls, I wouldn’t have run for my first office, or my second—and I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here today,” she said.

Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris said her previous warnings about Donald Trump’s authoritarian tendencies have been confirmed. “He said he would weaponize the Department of Justice—and he has done exactly that,” she told the BBC.

Harris also highlighted the brief suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel by ABC, which came after Kimmel’s comments on conservative commentator Charlie Kirk’s death. She noted that Trump publicly praised the network’s decision at the time.

Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris condemned Donald Trump for leveraging federal agencies against political critics. “He couldn’t handle criticism, even in the form of a joke, and tried to shut down an entire media organization as a result,” she said.

Harris also criticized U.S. business leaders and institutions, saying many were too eager to submit to Trump’s authority.

Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris accused certain leaders and institutions of submitting to Donald Trump for their own benefit.

“Many have bowed from the very beginning, placing themselves at the feet of a tyrant,” she told the BBC. “For some, it’s about staying close to power, getting approvals, or avoiding investigations.”
