Patriots Hall of Fame: The Patriots have announced the exciting news of their newest inductee into the Hall of Fame.
Julian Edelman, the wide receiver, received the most fan votes, making him the 37th member of the Hall of Fame while the Patriots have confirmed former head coach Bill Parcells will also be inducted this year.
Selected by the Patriots in the seventh round of the 2009 draft from Kent State, Edelman made an impressive transition from quarterback to wide receiver when he joined the team.
Edelman spent all 12 years of his career with the Patriots, winning three Super Bowls and being named MVP of Super Bowl LIII.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft shared in a heartfelt statement, "Julian Edelman's journey stands as one of the most remarkable and inspiring success stories in our team's history."
Hardly any players make it to the NFL while taking on a position they've never played—it's almost unheard of.
Julian was a seventh-round pick who wasted no time making his mark, eventually leaving the game with the second-highest number of catches in Patriots history.
