Tank Dell Injury Update: Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is using the 2025 offseason to heal. He went down with a serious knee injury in Week 16 against the Chiefs.
The injury ended his season early. Now, his main goal is recovery and coming back stronger.
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans recently shared some encouraging news about Dell's recovery from his serious knee injury.
"Tank is doing fantastic," Ryans told reporters on Monday, as highlighted by KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson.
"His spirits are high, and he's making great strides in his recovery. His rehab is going really well, and he's in a strong place.

We're all excited to see how he continues to progress."
Dell got hurt during a tough collision with his teammate Jared Wayne while trying to make a catch in the end zone.
The second-round pick from 2023 ended up dislocating his knee and tearing his ACL, MCL, and LCL, along with some meniscus damage from the impact.
He’s already undergone two surgeries to fix the knee issues.
While the timeline for a full recovery is still uncertain, Coach Ryans isn’t rushing him back into action just yet for the 5-8, 165-pound receiver.
"He'll come back when it's time for Tank," Ryans said. "It isn't rushed, there's no fake timeline for his return.
We'll get Tank back, when he is Tank again and that's all that matters to me."
The Texans spent a lot of time and effort improving their receiver group in the 2025 NFL offseason.
They traded for Christian Kirk, signed a couple of free agent veterans in Justin Watson and Braxton Berrios and used second- and third-round picks to select wide receivers Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel from Iowa State.
These adjustments were made not just to help fill the void left by Stefon Diggs, who signed with the New England Patriots during free agency, but also to provide Dell with the support he needs.
This way, he can concentrate on what Ryans really wants him to focus on.
Ryans said, "For Tank, my aim is for him to keep making progress and stay dedicated to his rehab every single day, just like he has been, all while maintaining a positive attitude."
