FA Cup Final: Oliver Glasner thinks Crystal Palace has to remain calm during the FA Cup final. He points to the dangers of being too emotional, leading to a massive let down - like when Brazil collapsed in the 2014 World Cup semifinals.
Under pressure, they lost their emotional control, and lost focus and lost 7-1 to Germany. Glasner’s point is clear: maintain emotional control and don't let your emotions take charge.
Crystal Palace is ready to make history by winning their first trophy. They will go up against Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.
This is the third time Palace has reached the final. Sadly, they lost the last two finals to Manchester United. This time, they want to give their fans something to celebrate.

A historic moment is ahead of the club mid-table in the Premier League on Saturday. But Oliver Glasner has a word of warning for his players.
He wants them to keep their cool. No panic. No pressure. Just think and play with a clear mind.
“Yes, winning would be a great way to reward our amazing FA Cup run,” he said during Friday’s press conference.
“But honestly, I’m not too focused on the trophy. That’s not where my mind is right now,” he added.
"I remember the World Cup in Brazil,” he said. "The players were crying during the national anthem. You could see how much it meant to the players.
They had real desperation to win it for their country and in front of their home fans.
But they got caught up in all of that emotion. They ended up losing 7-1 to Germany in the semifinal."

"We don't need to put pressure on ourselves to win a trophy,"he said calmly. "Crystal Palace has never won anything before; that's fine.
We're not here to worry about history. We're here to lay it all on the line. That's our mentality going into the final. Play with heart. Focused. And enjoy the moment."
There is clearly a difference between the two sides in the league. Crystal Palace are currently 12th in the Premier League.
They are currently 16 points behind their final opponents in their league. They are the underdogs on paper.
But football is not played on paper. And Palace will be ready to battle.

At the same time, Crystal Palace have a lot to be happy about. They sailed through to the final when they beat Aston Villa 3-0 in the FA Cup semifinal.
That sort of performance creates confidence. Their league form has been pretty good as well.
They drew against Champions League hopefuls Nottingham Forest. And also a big win on the road against Tottenham. That gives them confidence going into the final.
“We prepared in the same way we normally would for any Premier League game,” Glasner said.
“Yes we looked at Man City, but 90% of the focus of our preparation was on us and what we can control. At the end of the day, our focus is on us.”
The team has shown great form in recent weeks. Confidence is high among the players. They’re eager and prepared for the final ahead.
The Austrian manager had some good news. His whole squad is fit to go. Adam Wharton is back available again after missing the Spurs game last weekend. That’s a big plus heading to the final.
