The Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently opened up about the moment Taylor Swift joined his podcast, "New Heights."

He now says the episode marked the beginning of his engagement plan.

The new installment dropped Wednesday, July 8.

In it, Kelce and his brother and cohost, Jason Kelce, revisited their favorite moments from the podcast's most recent season.

Travis singled out Swift's appearance as a standout. "Starting it with Taylor — pretty epic," he said.

Kelce revealed he was already thinking about proposing during that very recording session.

"During that recording, the entire time I'm planning, like, 'I'm gonna ask this woman to marry me after this,'" he said.

He called the episode one he'll remember forever.

That August episode became the most-watched upload in the show's history.

During the conversation, Swift discussed falling in love with Kelce in 2023.

She also talked about reclaiming ownership of her first six albums after years of trying. She described her interest in baking sourdough bread as well.

That sourdough talk, it turns out, wasn't random. Kelce later revealed he used it to keep Swift distracted.

While she baked, a crew quietly built a proposal setup outside. He popped the question once recording wrapped.

Swift announced the engagement on Instagram that same month. "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," she wrote.

The podcast episode arrives just days after the couple's wedding. Kelce and Swift married in New York City on Friday, July 3.

The celebration reportedly drew about 1,000 guests to Madison Square Garden.

Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. Vows ran long and emotional, with Swift reportedly singing part of hers.

Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks both performed at the reception.

Details from the event have trickled out slowly given its scale.

Ashley Smith, sister of Chiefs offensive lineman Trey Smith, said she caught Swift's bouquet.

The arrangement featured sweet peas and Queen Anne's lace.

Other guests said the reception included games tied to raffle tickets. Winners could redeem those tickets for high-end prizes.

One prize, a $6,400 Chanel bag, went to Jackie Tranquill, wife of Chiefs linebacker Drue Tranquill.
