Jalen Ramsey Steelers: The Vikings got on the board with their first drive in Ireland. It wasn’t as smooth as it sounds.
For a moment, the Steelers thought they had the early advantage. Jordan Mason put the ball on the ground, and Jalen Ramsey grabbed it.
He took off for a 61-yard return into the end zone, only to have it taken back. The replay review dragged on, but the decision was clear in the end.
Officials said Mason brushed the ball with his hand while his leg was out of bounds. That made it a dead ball, and the Vikings kept it.
They pushed downfield just far enough, and Will Reichard nailed the kick to give them a 3-0 edge.
Carson Wentz started hot, hitting all five of his throws for 44 yards on the first drive.
Justin Jefferson hauled in four of them. The Steelers answered with a short series that ended in a three-and-out.
