Ons Jabeur Tennis: Ons Jabeur says she needs to step back from tennis for her own wellbeing. She has withdrawn from the upcoming Montreal Canadian Open.
The WTA noted that Jabeur, 30, is the only player in the top 99 who has not entered next month’s US Open.
Jabeur said she has pushed extremely hard over the past two seasons. She played through injuries and other hurdles.

But I need a break to look after my wellbeing. I’m stepping away to breathe, recover, and enjoy life off court.
Jabeur reached a career-high of No.2 in the rankings. She has since slipped to No.71. She has been a Wimbledon finalist twice.

After her Wimbledon exit, Jabeur admitted she felt sad. She said it hurt her confidence.
