The score was already 5-1 in Florida's favor when tensions started to rise. Things escalated when Edmonton forward Trent Frederic targeted Sam Bennett.

The initial fight sparked a bench-clearing brawl. Every player on the ice jumped into the fray, looking for a opponent to duke it out with.
The referees let the chaos unfold, stepping back to let the players settle their differences. Darnell Nurse and Jonah Gadjovich clashed, exchanging wild punches and grabbing each other's jerseys.
Meanwhile, A.J. Greer and Mattias Ekholm faced off, throwing blows in a intense duel. When the dust settled, six players were given game misconducts.
Nurse, Gadjovich, Bennett, Frederic, Greer, and Ekholm were all sent off the ice for the rest of the game.
The intensity between the two teams didn't let up, even with the game out of reach. The Oilers were still looking for payback.

Evander Kane got tossed from the game for slashing Carter Verhaeghe's face while he was down. More penalties piled up as the clock ticked down.

But the Panthers' physical play was unstoppable. The refs deemed it legal, and it paid off for Florida. Sam Bennett and Sam Reinhart scored crucial goals.
Then, disaster struck for Edmonton. Florida got another power play, and their top unit went to work. Beautiful passing led to Aaron Ekblad's wide-open goal.
He wristed it home with ease. It was a statement win for the Panthers. They're riding high heading into Game 4 on Thursday night.
