Gabe Davis Jaguars: Gabe Davis, a former wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, is set to meet with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The visit is scheduled for Thursday. This update comes from ESPN's Adam Schefter.
This will be Gabe Davis' third known team visit since entering free agency earlier this offseason. He has already met with the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Giants.
Davis played just one season with the Jaguars. He had signed a three-year deal worth $39 million in the 2024 offseason.
A knee injury kept Gabe Davis sidelined for part of the season. He managed to appear in only 10 games.
In that time, he caught 20 out of 42 targets. He totaled 239 receiving yards. That’s an average of 12 yards per catch.
He also scored two touchdowns, according to PFF. The Jaguars have decided to move on from Gabe Davis.
But that decision comes with a cost. They’ll take on a total dead cap hit of $20.3 million over the next two years.
Because Davis was released after June 1st, the money is spread out. This season, $5.7 million will count against their cap.
In 2026, the remaining $14.6 million will hit the books. All of this will happen while Davis suits up for another team.

The Jaguars already have solid depth at wide receiver. Names like Brian Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter, Dyami Brown, and Parker Washington are ahead in the lineup.
That meant the best Gabe Davis could hope for was the fifth spot on the depth chart. And that’s a hefty contract for someone mostly on the bench.
