Skjei's shot found its way through a crowd and into a pack in front of Swedish goalie, Jacob Markstrom.
With just under three minutes to go, Cutter Gauthier made it 3-0. After Shane Pinto's shot was denied, Gauthier picked up the rebound and tucked the puck in-between Markstrom's legs.
Fun fact: Gauthier was actually born in Skelleftea, Sweden in 2004. His father was playing for a team as a goalie at the time.
Conor Garland made it 3-0 with 8:53 left in the second period. He tapped in a rebound to keep the momentum.

Mikey Eyssimont then extended what had become a 4-0 lead. He finished a 4-on-2 rush off with a shot, going right from the far circle.
When the third period started, Sweden changed things up. Samuel Ersson was in for Jacob Markstrom.
William Nylander had it going for Sweden early in the third, putting them on the board 6:32 in.
Just 41 seconds later, Elias Lindholm made it 4-2, and gave Sweden a bit of life.
But the U.S. shut the door from there. Jackson Lacombe scored again at 8:51 left.
Shane Pinto wrapped it up and an empty-net goal. Pinto had already assisted the first two goals, wrapping it up with a three-point night.
