Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch: Marvel fans were hoping for Scarlet Witch’s triumphant return in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars; however, Elizabeth Olsen has confirmed that she will not appear in either film.
Fans were eager to see Olsen reprise her role as Scarlet Witch—but their excitement hits a snag. Olsen confirmed clearly that she will not appear in either of the next Avengers films.
She said as much in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "I need to explore opportunities beyond Marvel," she said.
"Marvel takes a lot of time. I need projects that are in line with my personal preferences," Olsen said.
For Marvel fans, this is a major event. In the MCU, Scarlet Witch has had an important role.
She appeared in Endgame, Infinity War, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. WandaVision, her show, was a great hit. In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, she also made an appearance.
Fans thought that she would make a comeback in the upcoming Avengers movies. Rumor had Wanda leading the Avengers in Doomsday, but Olsen’s confirmation makes that impossible.

Olsen is working on other projects. She is currently starring in Seven Sisters, a new FX series. Olsen has never showed excitement for staying in the MCU.
She has always said "maybe" when asked if she would return. She is now saying "no," but. She has never been so firm about it before. It makes sense.
Olsen has been for years part of the MCU. She has already done a lot. She can move on without any problems. She needs to focus on new projects.
But for Marvel fans, this is disappointing. Future plans for Scarlet Witch had very exciting. She would have played an important role in the Secret Wars.
