He received a penalty at Homestead for failing to enter pit road in single file. Elliott said that he had no intention of hitting Austin Cindric's car. Elton Sawyer of NASCAR said the penalty. "For safety," he said.
When there is a yellow flag, cars must be in a single-file line. This will avoid accidents when turning into pit boxes. Despite the challenges, Elliott may have a chance to recover back in Martinsville.
In the past, he has had positive outcomes there. He is ready to get back on track and has a solid team and record. The Martinsville race is believed by fans to be a key opportunity for Elliott.
