Patrick Dorgu Manchester United: Lecce, a Serie A team, is in negotiations with Manchester United to sign Patrick Dorgu, a left-back.
United is pursuing the 20-year-old in an effort to bolster their roster. Although talks have begun, no agreement has been reached as of yet.
In 2022, Dorgu left the Danish team Nordsjaelland to join Lecce. He has played for Lecce in 43 first-team games.
This season, he has also scored three goals in Serie A. United is interested in him because of his impressive performances.
Dorgu just agreed to a new deal with Lecce. His contract expires in 2028. United is still interested in bringing him to Old Trafford in spite of this.
In January, head coach Ruben Amorim is eager to bring on new players. United is now only 10 points above the Premier League's relegation zone due to poor play.
This season, United's defense has encountered difficulties. This season, regular left-back Luke Shaw has not started any games.
He has only made 12 Premier League appearances in 2023–24 due to injuries.
Due to this, right-back Diogo Dalot is now required to play as a left-winger.
