Halle Berry Custody Battle: A Los Angeles judge has made a key ruling in the custody fight between Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez.

Their 13-year-old son, Maceo, is now allowed to testify in court.

Superior Court Judge Shelley Kaufman issued the order in court documents.

The judge said the minor may take the stand. His testimony is limited to the request for a restraining order.

Berry's legal team did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The decision came just days after Martinez, 60, made his request. He asked the court to let their son speak.

He said it was in the boy's best interest to address the court.

Martinez wants Maceo's voice heard. He said his son deserves the chance to describe what he experienced on Sept. 26.

He also said the teen's account could be the key to uncovering the full truth.

"I am the parent who wants the truth to come out," Martinez stated in the filing. He added that he does not want to silence his son.

Martinez also made a second request. He asked the judge to block Berry's daughter, Nahla Aubry, from testifying.

Aubry had defended her mother against the allegations.

Martinez argued that Aubry has no significant bearing on the case. He called her clearly biased.

He also said Berry should not pull her daughter into a legal dispute that does not involve her.

The dispute began last month. Martinez filed for a temporary restraining order against Berry. He accused the actress of physically attacking their son during the incident.

Berry, 60, strongly denies the allegations.

The court then granted Martinez primary custody of Maceo. Berry was ordered to see her son two days a week. She also gets every other weekend.

Berry and Martinez were married from 2013 to 2016. He was her third husband.
