In Brief:
- Florence Pugh wore a corseted Wiederhoeft Spring 2027 look to the In the Shadows premiere at the 2026 BFI London Film Festival on Friday.
- The outfit paired a lilac corset with a shimmering column skirt and a Bvlgari Diamond necklace, which required a modified strapless design.
- Her loose hair shortened the look of her neck, and an updo, as in her previous two outings, would have suited it better.
Florence Pugh: Florence Pugh has turned the page on her East of Eden press tour. She did it in style.
The actress hit the red carpet at the 2026 BFI London Film Festival on Friday. The occasion was the premiere of In the Shadows.
Her outfit was a corseted Wiederhoeft Spring 2027 ensemble. It echoed the Vivienne Westwood look she wore to the East of Eden premiere in New York.
The historical influences were still clearly on display.
The centerpiece was a lilac corset. It featured intricate embellishments and a sculpted waist. Below it, she wore a shimmering column skirt.
The same label has appeared on the red carpet recently. Kerry Washington wore one of its designs.
In that case, the skirt did not quite match the rest of the outfit. Pugh's version proved the stronger take.
The silhouette clearly suits her. It also featured in her recent Vivienne Westwood and Patrick McDowell looks.
Then there was the jewelry. Pugh is a Bvlgari ambassador. She wore a Bvlgari Diamond necklace with the outfit.
To make room for it, the original strapless design was modified. Given her partnership with the brand, the change makes sense.
The hair was another story. Her hair fell loosely around her shoulders. That made her neck look shorter.
It also crowded the space between the halterneck straps and the necklace.
An updo would have given the necklace and neckline more room to stand out.
She has done exactly that before. At her previous two outings, she wore her hair up.
The jewelry and neckline both shone. The same approach would have suited this look too.
