Matt Nagy Chiefs Rumors: With the regular season complete, NFL teams seeking new head coaches are moving quickly to begin formal evaluations.

Titans GM Mike Borgonzi eyes Matt Nagy Chiefs rumors as Tennessee requests a head coach interview with the KC coordinator.

The Tennessee Titans have entered that process by targeting a familiar name.

According to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, the Titans have asked for permission to interview Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy.

League guidelines allow Tennessee to conduct an initial interview later this week.

The move marks an early step in the Titans’ offseason planning as the franchise begins shaping its leadership search.

Matt Nagy has remained a prominent candidate in connection with the Tennessee Titans’ head coaching vacancy since Brian Callahan was dismissed earlier in the regular season.

Nagy offers prior experience leading an NFL team and has an established professional relationship with Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi.

The two worked together during Borgonzi’s time in the Kansas City Chiefs organization.

Nagy spent four seasons as head coach of the Chicago Bears, compiling a 34–31 regular-season record (34–33 overall including playoffs).

Under his leadership, the Bears reached the playoffs twice.

Chicago moved on from Nagy after a 6–11 campaign in the 2021 season.

Nagy previously served as Kansas City’s offensive coordinator before accepting the Bears' job.

He later returned to the Chiefs in 2022 as a senior assistant/quarterbacks coach and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2023.
