Did the Bills Win the Game Today: The Dolphins were closing in on the end zone late in the fourth. They trailed the Bills 28-21 with just three minutes left.
A comeback felt possible. Then everything changed. Tua Tagovailoa’s pass toward Jaylen Waddle was intercepted by linebacker Terrel Bernard.
The turnover crushed Miami’s hopes. Afterward, Tagovailoa said Bernard simply made a great play. He didn’t see it as a bad throw on his part.
“I thought the timing was right,” Tagovailoa said. “I saw the defender slide over Jaylen as he turned. The guy just made a really smart play.
I had pressure coming at me and tried to fit the throw in. Honestly, if I got that look again, I’d still try to hit the same spot. Credit to the linebacker—he made a great play.”
The Dolphins came in as clear underdogs, yet they battled the Bills closely all night. Tagovailoa said he was proud of how the team competed.
“There’s no such thing as a moral win,” he said. “But we did a lot of things right. That’s the level we expect from our offense, and it’s something we can carry forward.”

With extra time to regroup after the Thursday matchup, Tagovailoa said the focus is on getting back to work and finding a way to rebound from the 0-3 start.
“This is a team game,” he said. “We celebrate together, and we take the losses together.”
