Tour de France Tadej Pogačar: Tadej Pogačar is now just one step away from claiming his fourth Tour de France title.


He held firm and kept his overall lead ahead of the final stage. Meanwhile, Kaden Groves had a day to remember.

The 26-year-old Australian launched a bold solo move with 16km to go. It was a gutsy effort. And it worked.


He was the first to cross the finish line, celebrating his very first Tour de France stage victory.

Pogačar made it through the 184.2km hilly stage without any trouble. He stayed safe in the main bunch.


Now, unless something unexpected happens, the 26-year-old from Slovenia will secure his fourth Tour title on Sunday.


The final stage is more of a tradition than a race. Riders don’t usually challenge the leader on the last day.


Kaden Groves’ win on Saturday was a special one. With it, he’s now won a stage in all three Grand Tours. That’s a huge milestone for any cyclist.

This year, Alpecin-Deceuninck gave the 26-year-old his first chance to ride in the Tour de France. He made the most of it.


Groves is now the third rider from the Belgian team to take a stage win in this year’s race — the 112th edition of cycling’s biggest event.


Jasper Philipsen and Mathieu van der Poel gave Alpecin a dream start. Both riders won the opening stages of the Tour.


But things soon took a turn. Philipsen had to quit the race after picking up an injury. Not long after, van der Poel also pulled out due to illness.
