Orange Bowl 2024: Boise State will definitely lament the chances they lost in Tuesday's Fiesta Bowl.

Orange Bowl 2024: Penn State wins 31-14 with dominant performance.

They lost 31-14 on New Year's Eve as a result of their failure to stop Penn State from converting again.

One of the four highly sought-after slots in the College Football Playoff semifinals was earned by the Nittany Lions, who won the Fiesta Bowl.

On January 9, they will play in the Orange Bowl against the winner of Wednesday's Sugar Bowl, which may be either second-seeded Georgia or seventh-seeded Notre Dame.

As the sixth seed, Penn State wasted no time in scoring multiple big-play touchdowns through the air early in the game.

No. 3 seed Boise State was never able to recover from their game-ending 58-yard touchdown in Glendale, Arizona, thus sealing the game.

The momentum in the second half was changed by one of the Broncos' squandered opportunities, which was underlined by a penalty.

Boise State was pushing far into PSU territory with the score in favour of Penn State at 24–14.

The last quarter would have been exciting if quarterback Maddux Madsen had connected with Prince Strachan for what appeared to be a touchdown.

However, offensive lineman Hall Schmidt's hands-to-the-face penalty rendered the play invalid.

Two plays later, Zakee Wheatley of Penn State intercepted Madsen's pass. His return allowed the Nittany Lions to score another important goal.

Nicholas Singleton took a handoff from Drew Allar and sprinted untouched for a 58-yard touchdown with five minutes played in the game, with Penn State leading by ten points.

The Boise supporters lost hope as the lead grew to 31–14.

Ashton Jeanty, the star running back for Boise State, was mainly wasted during the game, while Allar threw for three touchdown passes.

After an incredible 2,497 rushing yards this season, Jeanty, a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, was restricted to just 104 yards.

He came within 27 yards of breaking the all-time single-season NCAA record set by Barry Sanders with this performance.

James Franklin, the head coach, was happy with how his defence held Jeanty in check.

Franklin said, "I think our team was tired of hearing about him." "Our defence played lights out."

The tight end Tyler Warren, who caught two touchdown passes from Allar, was key in Penn State's the win.

He scored the first goal with a foot-tapping catch in the end zone's corner and extended the lead in the third quarter with a leaping grab.

Warren was more concerned with the victory than the issues that lay ahead after the game.

We’ll focus on football tomorrow, but tonight, it’s about celebrating with the team,” Warren said.

The Fiesta Bowl Offensive Most Valuable Player award went to him.

According to ESPN, Warren's 98 receptions this season set a new Penn State record.

Zakee Wheatley's game-changing interception won him the Fiesta Bowl's Defensive MVP award.

This was the first time these two football programs have ever met.

Penn State will now seek for another great victory in the Orange Bowl in 2024 as a result of the win.
