Zac Brown: Every fan at Zac Brown Band's Aug. 2 concert at Fenway Park walked away with more than just memories.

Each of the more than 35,000 attendees received a free two-person cruise, courtesy of Margaritaville at Sea.

Zac Brown has never hidden his love for performing at Fenway Park. He repeated the sentiment several times throughout the "Love & Fear" show.

To prove it, he handed out what he called the largest live giveaway in history.

The gesture served as both a thank-you to fans and a celebration.

Sunday's concert marked the band's 15th consecutive sold-out show at the historic ballpark, a new record.

Brown made the surprise announcement right before the band launched into "Same Boat."

"Tonight we're going to do something even Jimmy would say is crazy," Brown told the crowd, referencing his late friend Jimmy Buffett.

He then revealed he was buying every person in attendance a cruise for two. Screens on either side of the stage flashed instructions for claiming the trip.

Brown encouraged concertgoers to help each other locate the QR code and complete the sign-up process. He reassured the crowd the offer was legitimate, not a joke.

Reactions in the stands varied. Some fans erupted in cheers and jumped with excitement.

Others appeared more focused on the band's transition into "Same Boat" and seemed unaware of the scale of the announcement.

The total giveaway carries a value of more than $40 million. Fans have a one-year window to redeem their trips on select Margaritaville at Sea sailings.

However, registration closed at midnight Sunday. Concertgoer Matt Sentus said he had never been on a cruise before and wasn't particularly drawn to the idea.

Still, he expects his partner will want to take advantage of the offer.

Jill Gadsby, who has attended three previous Zac Brown Band shows, said she suspected something big was coming.

She had read a report Sunday morning hinting at a major surprise for fans, and pre-show promotion around the cruise line reinforced her suspicion.

Gadsby, a mother of three, said she'd consider going if she can arrange child care.

Previous stops on the Love & Fear Tour featured smaller giveaways, typically four cruises per show. Boston marked a significant departure from that pattern.

Margaritaville at Sea CEO Christopher Ivy praised the partnership in a statement, calling it a fitting tribute to fans who have supported Brown throughout his career.

Winners will sail aboard the Beachcomber, a new ship set to debut in January 2027. The vessel will feature "Same Boat," an artist-curated live music venue co-designed by Brown.

The space is named after his 2021 collaboration with Buffett and will anchor the ship's entertainment offerings.
