Texas Tech vs Arkansas: Texas Tech pulled off an incredible comeback, defeating Arkansas 85–83 in overtime. The hero was Darrion Williams.
In overtime, with 7.3 seconds left, he scored the game-winning basket. Earlier he hit a 3-pointer in the final seconds of regulation time to tie the game.
Williams struggled early, missing most of his first-half attempts, but stayed focused and delivered when it mattered most.
Grant McCasland praised Williams as ‘the heart of the team,’ saying he thrives under pressure.
Arkansas dominated much of the second half, holding a 16-point lead. It looked like Texas Tech was out of it, but a 16–3 run late tied the game.
In the closing seconds, Christian Anderson hit three consecutive 3-pointers, and Williams added key baskets. In overtime, with 34 seconds left, D.J. Wagner tied the score for Arkansas.

Texas Tech retook the lead on another Williams score and won 85–83 when Wagner missed a last-second jumper. Despite missing 13 of his first 15 attempts, he remained confident and kept shooting.
‘I knew they’d fall,’ he said after the game. Anderson finished with 22 points, while Toppin and Williams each had 20. Next up for Texas Tech is the West Region final against top-seed Florida.

Their second-ever Final Four participation is just one win away. Heartbreak ended Arkansas’ season, but coach John Calipari praised his team.
‘I’m so proud of them,’ he said, noting how hard the Razorbacks fought despite the loss. It was a historic win for Texas Tech—one of the greatest comebacks in Sweet 16 history. Now they turn their sights to the Final Four.
