Fred Johnson weighs 317 lbs and stands 6 feet 7 inches tall. He originally signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted rookie in 2019, was claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals later that season, then joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in early 2022.
In November 2022, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad and later earned a spot on the active roster.
Johnson knows Florida. He was a member of the University of Florida's Gators football team. He is now back in the state where his journey started.
He spent 2022 on Philadelphia’s practice squad and did not appear in any games that season.
In 2023 and 2024, after joining the active roster, he saw action in several regular-season contests and postseason games with the Eagles. The Eagles' postseason success was helped by his experience.
Johnson will now compete for a position on the offensive line with the Jaguars. He'll try to prove himself once more. His skills and versatility will be a great value to Jacksonville.
